The curiousty of a toad driving a toy truck causes him to stop, reverse and closely examine something unusual hidden in the dirt. Although no Slinky was hurt in the making of this piece, we did have a lot of fun experimenting on them in the studio while producing this animation. Slinky dynamics are hard to understand and even harder to animate ! ‘Toad Rules’ is a concept developed by Los Angeles creator, Jeff Muncy. Caboom produced a series of animation tests to explore the variety of styles that Jeff could be used to bring the characters and their world to life. Made using Studio Max, After Effects and two cheap Slinkys !
